Shannon WhitfieldP3AdviserShannon began Strategic Financial Planning Australia (WA), now Phase3Wealth, in 2014 after a distinguished career as a Westpac Financial Adviser.
Before this time, Shannon worked in the area of Sports Management and Marketing, working with Australia's elite Track and Field athletes until after the Sydney Olympic Games, when he decided to gain experience overseas. After spending 3 years in the UK where he worked as a Brand Manager for Octagon, one of the World’s largest Sports Marketing companies, Shannon worked in a variety of Management roles before deciding to embark on a Financial Planning career. It was the desire of being able to provide financial advice to people so they would be able to achieve their lifestyle goals that attracted Shannon to the role of a Financial Planner. Being extremely relationship focused and process driven, skill sets integral to the role of a Financial Planner, Shannon quickly built rapport with his clients at Westpac. This ability to build solid, lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike, has been acknowledged with Shannon receiving both the Westpac National Planner of the Year, and Rookie of the Year awards during his time there. Shannon also qualified for Top Team Conference in each year that he spent at Westpac, including Chairman’s Council (for the top 30 Westpac Planners nationally) in the same year that WA was awarded the Financial Planning Business of the Year. Shannon has always had a strong belief in his ability, and in the way that Financial Planning should be cariied out, and in 2014 he set up his own company. The business has gone from strength to strength and in 2015 and 2016, Tony Feighan and Kevin Cardozo joined the team. Shannon is a family man first and foremost, with a wife and two beautiful young children. He also enjoys; spending time with friends, travelling and sport. |

Kevin CardozoP3AdviserKevin joined Shannon in 2016 to help operate the Strategic Financial Planning WA office, now Phase3Wealth. It was a decision motivated by a strong friendship and sharing similar principles on how a Financial Planning offering should benefit its clients.
Kevin has worked in the Financial Services industry since 2006, having previously worked in Marketing and Legal sectors. Kevin’s introductory role to this industry was consulting to client and advisory firm relationships for the platform provider, Asgard Wealth Solutions. This role inspired Kevin to seek a position directly in the Financial Planning space and this opportunity came from Westpac Private Bank in 2008. Kevin continued to work in the affluent & high-net worth client offering within Westpac Financial Planning for the next 8 years, building a successful business and being rewarded with regular ‘Top Team Qualifier’ national recognition for high performance and compliance. Kevin has a strong focus on open and friendly collaboration to understand what matters most to his clients and their families, he believes this is the catalyst to then help them achieve their lifestyle goals through effective financial strategies. It is his desire to take the complication out of financial planning and encourage clients to take a hands-on approach to securing their financial future. Kevin was born in England but was raised and schooled in Perth since his family moved here in 1988, a decision that has never been regretted and has allowed him to enjoy a great career and lifestyle with much better weather! He enjoys socialising with family and friends, music, travel and is an avid sports fan; holding memberships with the West Coast Eagles, Perth Wildcats and Perth Racing. |
